In 2006 a youth group known as Cafe Base, run by ncounter, moved to Holy Trinity Church, Shaw Village Centre, West Swindon. It was held every Tuesday night, but over the next few years, many things grew out of it. After  much discussion with young people, Cafe Base was renamed "Remix" and this sparked off a chain of events leading to other youth groups and projects starting, under the name 'emerge youth project' and based at Shaw church - many of which are still going - check out under "Remix" for details of each group. Additionally, over the last few years, an array of performing arts workshops were organized, including some specifically for young people with special needs. The 'Mix Festival' took off in 2009 and since then has been an annual summer event for the community at Shaw Village Centre, organised by the emerge project.  In Feb 2011, our newest group, Gen2Gen, was born.  The young people came up with the idea of having a monthly cafe where young people and retired or over 60's could get together to chat and take part in many activities together. Check out the individual pages to find more about each group.
